Joo is a Korean-born artist based in Melbourne, Australia. With a background in fine art, painting from Sunhwa Arts School, Seoul Womenโ€™s University, and RMIT University, as well as furniture making from Holmesglen.

Her work combines traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics. Her art explores the cultural and psychological significance of dreams, drawing from both Eastern and Western interpretations.

 Specializing in the traditional Korean ottchil (lacquer) technique, Joo creates pieces that blend heritage with modern innovation. Her works have been exhibited in various shows, earning praise for their emotional depth and technical mastery. From her Melbourne studio, Joo continues to expand her artistic vision, fusing tradition and modernity in unique and thought-provoking ways.
